Aaaand we’re off! (Leg 1)

This particular airport/flight experience was one of the easiest I’ve ever had for an international flight. Starting at Dulles Airport in DC was stress free, with hardly any lines at all. Aside from Virgin, I think Copa Airlines is now one of my favorite airlines. We got exit row seats (hello leg room!) on a half-full flight (meaning our own row!) and even a meal of arroz con carne (complete with real silverware).

Jon and I synched our individual screens to watch Spectre on the way there (it was very cliche), while falling asleep every so often.IMG_0071

Our flight from Panama to CR also included a snack – bolillo with ham and cheese and potato salad on the side too.

5 ish hours to a 90-minute layover in Panama and then another 90 minutes to San Jose, Costa Rica. No lines through immigration or customs and no hassles either!

Lucia picked us up and is generously letting us take her larger bed while she sleeps on the fold-out. Couldn’t ask for a better bestie =)

Love the view. I should try copa airlines next time I go places.

    • Copa is great! It’s based in Panama I’m pretty sure. We’ll be stopping over there on our way to Santiago too.
