Barranco, the Bohemian side of Lima Published June 4, 2016 We spent the majority of our stay in Lima in Barranco since that was where our AirBnb was located. It’s a little more down to earth than the upscale and tourist-ready Miraflores, a perfect match for us. Check out the sunset, street art, and more: Beautiful sunset by the beach. Puente de Suspiros, or bridge of sighs, is a cultural landmark. Legend says that if you make a wish and hold your breath as you cross the bridge (31 meters), it will come true. It’s named after the sigh-ing sound one makes after reaching the other side. Art covered walkway leading to beach access. Sign at the border of Barranco and Miraflores, the most tourist-friendly neighborhoods in Lima.
